Enjoying the fall weather

FINDING FALL IN FAIRVILLE

Octotber 6th 2012

We went to find fall in kind of a traditional way yesterday. When the kids were little and when we lived in Sodus we used to go to the Apple Shed for our pumpkins, donuts , apples and to be scared walking thru the haunted barn with Wilemena the witch just one step away.

It was a lot of fun and the hayrides of course can't forget those, the not so terrifying ones for the little ones and myself. :-)  As we and I say we got older we tried out the haunted hayride in Williamson and for some reason in the world the way it is the idea of someone coming out of the woods leaping onto the hay wagon with me is very scary indeed. It's all in my head I admit I am suspicious and find that life is scary just day to day, but we all know of many time when bad things have happened to innocent people.

It was fun leaf peeping on the way to Fairville , the Apple shed seemed so different when the kids were little but that was 20 years ago so things do change, some for the better some not so much.  I should ask if they would be interested in buying my wreath.

The weather is definately  sweater weather  ,but it is kind of fun to get all the cute sweaters back out. Also nice to be able to wander around and know you aren't going to pass out from the heat.   We didn't get the famous donuts but I really don't need a wonderful box of donuts to fight with until they are gone either. :-)

If you are looking for a fun place to take the kids this is a good one, they have the animal feeders that you put in your .25 and feed the adorable animals.  Apples of every type for your every need whether it is to bake a pie or just to eat on the way home in the car.   Donuts but get there early, which we got there at 3 pm so it's my fault not theirs that they have wonderful donuts and everyone knows about them.  Pumpkins of every shape and size with reasonable prices as pumpkins go. The hayride and the haunted barn or there for you and your families to enjoy and the trees that are everywhere as far as you can see are getting so pretty.

We had fun, and if you are looking for a fun place to take the kids this is a good one. Just make sure you have a lot of quarters in your pockets, once a child has had the fun experience of feeding the animals it can go on and on.   Enjoy....
