Scentsy Warmer of the Month, January 2015 - Charmer

cost cutting tips

I went down to my shared laundry room the other night and my new neighbors decided to take my detergent, so I had all my laundry down there ready to go and decided to try my bathroom hand soap .  I used only a small amount added the water and it began to suds eureka I have soap. I continue to use it now that I can get more detergent because I have found I can have any scent  I want, it makes my clothes not only smell nice but they are very soft. This soap is gentler on my clothes and they don't wrinkle as much. They smell wonderful and I can change the scent anytime I want to I don't have to wait for the big brands to come up with the scent of rain or spring mountain   for this week I have aloha paradise , last week was coconut bamboo who knows about the next time the possibilities are endless.

Did you know that those expensive scrubs you buy you can make yourself?  It is actually the combination of honey and brown sugar... If you use a scrub on your lips you can keep them soft and they won't become chapped and cracked.Your lips will be sooo soft.

for a facial scrub use

2 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp warm water
stir sugar into the warm water so it melts granules needs to be be dissolved apply to your face ..massage rinse with a warm washcloth not to hot...or if you want to get fancy steam a washcloth in the microwave

cute goldfish soap

TANYA MEMME'S DIY GOLDFISH SOAP
Tanya Memme's DIY Goldfish Soap
What Do You Need?
  • Clear glycerine soap
  • Measuring cup (glass)
  • Plastic candy bags
  • Plastic fish 1-2" in length
  • Elastics
  • Ribbon
Directions:Slice the soap into thin squares or pieces.Put them in the measuring cup and put it in the microwave for 50 seconds then stir for a while, if there are pieces not dissolved then put it back in the microwave for 15 seconds at a time until dissolved. It takes about one block of glycerin soap for each fish in a bag.Pour the slightly cooked soap into the plastic treat bag and let cool for an additional 10 mins. Try not to get the soap on the sides of the bag when pouring it in the bag. If you do either start over again or if it just a little bit then wash it off after the soap has hardened. If bubbles occur and settle to the top, let the soap harden and scrape off the top inside the bag.

  1. Place the fish inside once it's cooled enough to hold its position.
  2.  Move into place with a chopstick or bbq skewer.

  3. Let harden. Close the bag with elastics and finish off with ribbon.

  4. Slice soap into thin squares.

  5. Microwave for 50 seconds, or until dissolved.
