Posted at: 01/05/2013 9:22 AM
Several fundraisers will be held on Saturday to support those affected by the Christmas Eve ambush in Webster.

Saturday morning, the Operation Patriot Foundation is holding a community charity walk at the Mall at Greece Ridge starting at 9:15 a.m.

Organizers request participants donate at least $5 per person and awards are available for those who donate more than $20. Funds raised will be donated to the West Webster Volunteer Fireman's Association

Fire departments in Greece will also be out to hold at boot drive starting Saturday morning at 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Elmridge Plaza. Firefighters say donations to that drive will go to the families of the two firefighters who were shot and killed on Christmas Eve.

Orleans County Central Battalion Fire Departments will also be holding a boot drive at the intersection of Route 98 and Main Street in Albion from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Funds from that drive will go to the West Webster Fire Department.
